It all depends on your requirements, for example a small extension will cost less than a big extension. Cost will increase with extras such as an en-suite bathroom or if you wish to have a kitchen designed
and fitted.
According to property experts, a house extension does not only provide extra living space but can add up to 10% to the value of your home.
A single integral house extension takes on average 2-3 months. A double house extension will take on average 3-4 months. These may change due to your requirements.
In the majority of cases, the work involved in a house extension will be classed as permitted development. However, if you live in a Conservation Area, a location where development can be restricted to protect the appearance of the surroundings, or on a new estate with strict guidelines, it’s worth checking what’s allowed- we will take care of this for you.
You’ll need building regulations consent and sign off for the various elements of your build, as with other home alterations. We will check that your local council is happy with your plans before starting work and organise appointments for each stage of the job. Alternatively we will use the private building control firm we use called Compagna.
We take a deposit in the region of 15% to 20% of the overall job value. We will then advise you of a payment schedule where you pay a certain percent at different stages through the job. We will provide the breakdown before the contracts are signed. We take the final payment once you are 100% satisfied with our work.
Once you have agreed to a start date we will send over a copy of the terms and conditions and a contract. Both parties will sign and both have a copy.
We provide a 10 year guarantee on all our work. A certificate will be provided on completion of the job, along with any other certificates such as electrical certificate or gas certificate.
We will always have an ongoing job which may be local to yourselves. We highly recommend you go and speak with our past clients.
Yes, if it is still in production (or remaining stock can be sourced from somewhere). If not we will get you the very best alternative match. We use a professional brick matcher, who will come to site prior to us starting the job. They will provide a few brick samples for you to choose from.
We put down a visqueen sheet and cover the drive with plywood to protect the drive from skips and general building work. We protect the internal by using dust sheets. We guarantee to keeping the mess on site to a minimum and leave the in the condition it was when we first arrived. We understand this is your home so will cause as little disruption as possible.

We would 100% recommend no 1 extensions & conversions. The team, especially Paul and James, have worked exceptionally hard on our garage conversion into a bedroom and bathroom. They’ve listened to us and come up with options and guided us in making decisions based on their expertise. They were always on time, sometimes staying late too get the work done. Matt and his team did a great job on our extension despite a big structural issue causing them problems / delays. We lived in the house the whole time so it really helped that the team are a lovely set of lads who kept the place as tidy as possible. Their attention to detail, such as reusing old bricks and purchasing bricks to match the existing exterior, have made all the difference.
